Varsity Poms of 2012-13, we will be having
our first team meeting, Monday, March 5th
at 6 pm in the High School Upper Commons.
Our 2012-13 season dates, practices and expectations
will be shared, uniforms will be ordered and

TRY OUT REMINDERS

Try outs for the 2012-2013 junior varsity and varsity
poms begin TODAY (Monday, Feb 20) at 4 p.m. in the
LRC (old Novak gym).
Everyone needs bring a BLANK CASSETTE
TAPE to tape your try out music with your name clearly marked on it!
ABSOLUTELY NO JEWELRY IS TO BE WORN AT TRY OUTS!

Nationals Honors

The Poms were very successful at UDA Nationals! The
Poms placed 11th in the nation with their jazz dance
and 8th in the nation with thier pom routine.

The Linn Mar Varsity Poms are off to Nationals on
Wednesday, Feb 1, 2012 to compete against the best
pom squads in the nation!
Please attend the Preview Night, Tuesday, January 31,
2012, at 5:00 p.m. in the LRC (old Novak) gym.
Admission is free! GO LIONS!

PRE-TRYOUT MEETING THIS WEEK!

There is a mandatory informational meeting for anyone wanting to try out for Varsity or JV poms for the 2012-2013 season.
The meeting is Wednesday, January 25th at 5:30-6:30pm in the Upper Commons at the High School.
If anyone has any conflicts, please see either Coach prior to the meeting or you can contact them via email at:schmidt111@mchsi.com (Varsity) or Kepner@linnmar.k12.ia.us (JV).
Tryout week is: Feb 20 - 24.
Monday 4 - 6 p.m. practice
Tuesday 4 - 6 p.m. practice
Thursday 4 - 6 p.m. practice
Friday Tryouts begin at 5 p.m.

State Competition Dec 2!

The Poms will be competing in Des Moines at the State
Competition this Friday, Dec 2! The girls will be
competing with a pom routine, jazz and hip hop dance.

Team Qualifies for Nationals!

The team qualified for Nationals again this year at
UDA Camp. The team qualified with both their home Pom
Routine and Routine A they learned at camp. Congrats
girls!

Poms to UDA Camp
6/25/2011
The girls will be leaving early morning, Monday, June
27 for Illinois State University in Normal, IL to
compete at the UDA Elite Dance Camp. Camp runs from
Monday, June 27 - Thursday, June 30.

Mark your calendar for the Fall Pom Clinics! The fall
clinic will be held: Oct 14-15,2011. It is a Friday
and Saturday. There is NO SCHOOL on Friday Oct. 14.

to the clinic for more information and to download a
