Hello! My name is Sami Herrera, and I’m the head coach for Linn-Mar Varsity Poms. I am a former LMVP member myself, having been on the team for the 2013-2016 seasons. I’ve been part of the coaching staff since 2017-18. I currently attend the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, and plan to graduate with my D.D.S. in 2024! I reside in Iowa City with frequent trips back to Cedar Rapids to see my family and of course, my favorite group of girls. Dance has always been a huge part of my life and continuing that by coaching Linn-Mar is a dream come true. I can’t wait to see what the girls can accomplish this year, and more importantly the memories that we will make as a team!
